COVID Preparedness at Rheumatology and Arthritis Care Center

For the health and safety of our patients during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have instituted the following safeguards
  • To minimise exposure, we are offering Telemedicine.  Any patient who does not have to be seen in office, can be evaluated via telemedicine. We can refill your prescriptions, review labs easily via telemedicine. To make your Telemedicine appointment, please click here:​​

  • For patients who need to be seen in the office, visits will be staggered.

  • All the staff will be wearing personal protective equipment. Ie masks, gown, gloves and protective eyewear.

  • Staff have ongoing instructions on hand washing, PPE use and sanitizing office spaces.

  • During this pandemic we will not be using our waiting room. We request that you call us from your car when you arrive at the office.  We will let you know when we are ready for you to enter.

  • We ask that all patients wear masks while in our office. Masks should cover your mouth and nose.

  • All patients will be screened for respiratory symptoms before they are allowed to enter the office.

  • After each patient leaves,  frequently touched surfaces such as counters, beds, seating are cleaned using EPA-registered disinfectants.

  • Our infusion chairs are spaced > 6 feet apart.

  • All patients are screened with temperature checks.

  • Chairs are thoroughly disinfected after each use

  • Visitors are not allowed to accompany patients for their visits or infusions. 

  • We ask that patients who have symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough, fevers please stay home.
